Evolution of Electronic Cigarette Brands From 2013-2014 to 2016-2017: Analysis of Brand Websites
This contrasts sharply with the strong growth in e-cigarette brand websites found by Zhu et al from 2012 to 2014 [13], and it suggests that the industry may be headed toward even greater contraction in the number of brands in the coming years.
Some of the concerns regarding how regulatory oversight will affect the market landscape appear driven by tobacco companies’ history of deceptive business practices and potential for heavily resourced, sophisticated marketing campaigns [11,30].
