Cancer survivor makes donation to JMIR

(Toronto, 7 Nov 2007) We were recently touched by a donation to JMIR made by a patient with CLL. The donor (who prefers to remain anonymous) values the information we publish, particularly cancer related research. We find it remarkable that our journal is read and valued not only by researchers, but also by "endusers", including patients. Another testimony of the power of open access publishing. If anybody wishes to discuss donations or grants with us, please contact geysenba @ jmir.org. For larger donations we will be able to connect potential donors with our hospital foundations, so that donations are tax-deductible in the US or Canada. Smaller donations (<$1000) can be made using the "Donations" button on the bottom of each page (however, no tax receipt can be generated).
