The State of the Art of Telemedicine Implementation Architecture: Rapid Umbrella Review of Systematic Reviews

The State of the Art of Telemedicine Implementation Architecture: Rapid Umbrella Review of Systematic Reviews

This definition includes the internet-based transfer of medical data, such as images, patient records, and clinical information, from remote monitoring devices. In this study, telemedicine is examined as an integrated part of the health ecosystem rather than as a stand-alone, siloed intervention. There is now considerable evidence of the barriers to, facilitators of, and lessons learnt from the implementation of telemedicine across the world [3,20,21].

Information Needs for Opioid Use Disorder Treatment Using Buprenorphine Product: Qualitative Analysis of Suboxone-Focused Reddit Data

Information Needs for Opioid Use Disorder Treatment Using Buprenorphine Product: Qualitative Analysis of Suboxone-Focused Reddit Data

What sets social media apart from traditional data sources is the spontaneous, self-reported lived experiences shared by individuals with OUD, a type of data that is not easily obtainable through other data sources such as electronic health records or surveys.

Large Language Models in Medical Diagnostics: Scoping Review With Bibliometric Analysis

Large Language Models in Medical Diagnostics: Scoping Review With Bibliometric Analysis

A total of 17,757 records were identified from Web of Science, Pub Med, Embase, IEEE Xplore, and ACM Digital Library databases. After removing 2445 duplicates, we screened titles and abstracts, and 6708 records were assessed for inclusion, resulting in 95 articles in the final review. The overall characteristic of included articles is provided in Multimedia Appendix 2 [15-108].

Use of Artificial Intelligence in Adolescents’ Mental Health Care: Systematic Scoping Review of Current Applications and Future Directions

Use of Artificial Intelligence in Adolescents’ Mental Health Care: Systematic Scoping Review of Current Applications and Future Directions

The systematic literature search was conducted in an iterative manner across 5 electronic bibliographic databases: MEDLINE (Ovid), EMBASE (Ovid), Web of Science Core Collection, Compendex, and INSPEC. Initially, we included studies published until February 2020. Subsequently, given the rapid developments in the field of AI applications in adolescent mental health care, we extended our search through July 2024 (inclusive).

Remote Photoplethysmography Technology for Blood Pressure and Hemoglobin Level Assessment in the Preoperative Assessment Setting: Algorithm Development Study

Remote Photoplethysmography Technology for Blood Pressure and Hemoglobin Level Assessment in the Preoperative Assessment Setting: Algorithm Development Study

Information on age, height, weight, gender, ethnicity, Monk Skin Tone (MST) Scale, relevant medical history and routine preoperative blood investigation results (full blood count, renal panel, anemia panel, coagulation, thyroid function) were collected from the patient’s electronic medical records. The MST Scale is a validated alternative to previous skin tone scales (eg, Fitzpatrick Scale), which has been adopted for multiple uses, including AI and machine learning [24].

Developing Infrastructure to Realize the Value of Patient-Generated Health Data in a Large Integrated Health Care System: The Veterans Health Administration Experience

Developing Infrastructure to Realize the Value of Patient-Generated Health Data in a Large Integrated Health Care System: The Veterans Health Administration Experience

In 2001, the VHA launched the tethered online patient portal, My Healthe Vet, and later allowed veterans to manually track their personal health data, such as vital measurements, diet, sleep, or physical activity for their own records. In 2014, the VHA launched Annie for Veterans (“Annie”), a VHA SMS text messaging system modeled after the Florence Simple Telehealth system created by the National Health Service in the United Kingdom [7].

Real-World Characteristics and Treatment Patterns of Patients With Transthyretin Amyloid Cardiomyopathy: Protocol for a Multicountry Disease Registry Study

Real-World Characteristics and Treatment Patterns of Patients With Transthyretin Amyloid Cardiomyopathy: Protocol for a Multicountry Disease Registry Study

The study size will be based on the number of eligible ATTR-CM cases identified in the medical records and meeting the inclusion criteria. However, the goal is to enroll approximately 350 patients diagnosed with ATTR-CM across the sites, with data collected throughout routine clinical practice. As it is a noninterventional study, no procedures or treatments will be mandated, and patients will receive their usual clinical care.

Exploring Generative Pre-Trained Transformer-4-Vision for Nystagmus Classification: Development and Validation of a Pupil-Tracking Process

Exploring Generative Pre-Trained Transformer-4-Vision for Nystagmus Classification: Development and Validation of a Pupil-Tracking Process

Electronystagmography, a common method for recording nystagmus clinically, records eye movements as corneoretinal potentials but cannot measure torsional eye movements and has the disadvantage of difficulty in capturing three-dimensional movements. Additionally, the need for specialized equipment makes real-time recording during vertigo attacks challenging, limiting its frequent use in clinical practice.

Experiences of Using a Digital Text Messaging Intervention to Support Oral Medication Adherence for People Living With Type 2 Diabetes: Qualitative Process Evaluation

However, while previous studies have demonstrated modest effects of tailored messaging grounded in specific user characteristics, they also acknowledge that population-level tailoring based on patient records is challenging and that exactly which criteria successful tailoring should be based upon remains unclear.
