Predicting Habitual Use of Wearable Health Devices Among Middle-aged Individuals With Metabolic Syndrome Risk Factors in South Korea: Cross-sectional Study

Predicting Habitual Use of Wearable Health Devices Among Middle-aged Individuals With Metabolic Syndrome Risk Factors in South Korea: Cross-sectional Study

Some have combined UTAUT2 with other health behavior models to explain the continued use of technology after initial adoption, as it cannot be explained by a single model [21-23]. Wei et al [23] combined the UTAUT2 and the health belief model (HBM) to identify the predictors of adoption and continued use of a diet and fitness mobile app. Many studies of the continued use of mobile platforms have focused on satisfaction, perceived benefit, and trust [20].

Software-Based Simulation on a 3D Environment for Vaccination Teaching and Learning: Design Science Research

Software-Based Simulation on a 3D Environment for Vaccination Teaching and Learning: Design Science Research

DSR: design science research; SUS: System Usability Scale; UTAUT2: Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology version 2. Based on the premises presented in the “Introduction” section, the project research objective was to devise a solution, that is, a 3 D environment software simulation, to support teaching activities in vaccination rooms.

Suitability of the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 Model for Predicting mHealth Acceptance Using Diabetes as an Example: Qualitative Methods Triangulation Study

Suitability of the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 Model for Predicting mHealth Acceptance Using Diabetes as an Example: Qualitative Methods Triangulation Study

As this study focuses on the suitability of the UTAUT2 model for predicting m Health acceptance, Textbox 1 shows the definitions of the exogenous UTAUT2 constructs only, adapted from the study by Venkatesh et al [26]. The Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 model, adapted from a study by Venkatesh et al [26].

Applying an Extended UTAUT2 Model to Explain User Acceptance of Lifestyle and Therapy Mobile Health Apps: Survey Study

Applying an Extended UTAUT2 Model to Explain User Acceptance of Lifestyle and Therapy Mobile Health Apps: Survey Study

Still, these factors are missing from established and widely used technology acceptance models, like the UTAUT2. Therefore, we integrated both privacy concerns and trust in the m Health app into the UTAUT2 model and empirically tested their impact on m Health app acceptance.

Utilizing Health Behavior Change and Technology Acceptance Models to Predict the Adoption of COVID-19 Contact Tracing Apps: Cross-sectional Survey Study

Utilizing Health Behavior Change and Technology Acceptance Models to Predict the Adoption of COVID-19 Contact Tracing Apps: Cross-sectional Survey Study

These variables are performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions in the first iteration (UTAUT1), with the addition of hedonic motivation, price value, habit, and experience in the second iteration (UTAUT2) [45,51] (Figure 2). Conceptual model of the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT, first and second iterations) (adapted from Venkatesh et al [50]).

Drivers of Mobile Health Acceptance and Use From the Patient Perspective: Survey Study and Quantitative Model Development

Drivers of Mobile Health Acceptance and Use From the Patient Perspective: Survey Study and Quantitative Model Development

The extended version of the unified theory of acceptance and usage of technology (UTAUT), UTAUT2, is a tailor-made model of acceptance and use of technology. UTAUT2 was adapted from the UTAUT to a more consumer-centered context, with the main differences including the introduction of three new constructs, hedonic motivation, price value, and habit, with moderators of age, gender, and experience.

Electronic Health Record Patient Portal Adoption by Health Care Consumers: An Acceptance Model and Survey

UTAUT2 also introduces three new constructs (ie, specific consumer adoption constructs): hedonic motivation, price value, and habit. Hedonic motivation and price value explain behavioral intention, while habit explains behavioral intention and use behavior [18]. Compared to UTAUT, the extensions proposed in UTAUT2 that are consumer specific produced a substantial improvement in the variance explained in behavioral intention (from 56% to 74%) and technology use (from 40% to 52%) [18].
