Efficacy, Safety, and Cost-Effectiveness of “Internet + Pharmacy Care” Via the Alfalfa App in Warfarin Therapy Management After Cardiac Valve Replacement: Randomized Controlled Trial

Efficacy, Safety, and Cost-Effectiveness of “Internet + Pharmacy Care” Via the Alfalfa App in Warfarin Therapy Management After Cardiac Valve Replacement: Randomized Controlled Trial

Even urban patients often face constraints such as doctor-to-patient ratios and limited consultation time. Outpatient physicians always struggle to provide comprehensive medication guidance and follow-up for every oral anticoagulation therapy patient, which can negatively impact the long-term treatment outcomes for these individuals [10,11].

Effects of Using a Digital Peer-Supported App on Glycated Hemoglobin Changes Among Patients With Type 2 Diabetes: Prospective Single-Arm Pilot Study

Peer support, defined as mutual assistance among individuals with shared experiences or challenges, may be an effective strategy for enhancing healthy behaviors in patients with T2 DM [7].

Hospitalization and Mortality in Brazilian Children and Adolescents Due to COVID-19: Retrospective Study

Hospitalization and Mortality in Brazilian Children and Adolescents Due to COVID-19: Retrospective Study

COVID-19 is currently one of the most important medical challenges as it affects the entire population, with children and adolescents being infected as easily as adults; children and adolescents often remain asymptomatic or have mild complaints due to their immature immune systems [1].

Comparison of ChatGPT and Internet Research for Clinical Research and Decision-Making in Occupational Medicine: Randomized Controlled Trial

Comparison of ChatGPT and Internet Research for Clinical Research and Decision-Making in Occupational Medicine: Randomized Controlled Trial

The aim was to recruit as many patients as possible during this time with at least 50 participants being included. The data are given as number and percentage, number of answers or correct answers, or mean (SD). Group differences between the Chat GPT group and the group with its own research were examined either by Mann-Whitney U test or chi-square test for group sizes of at least 5 persons, otherwise by Fisher exact test .

Assessing ChatGPT’s Capability as a New Age Standardized Patient: Qualitative Study

Assessing ChatGPT’s Capability as a New Age Standardized Patient: Qualitative Study

As the field of artificial intelligence (AI) has advanced, the potential for its application in medical education has expanded. Large language models (LLMs), such as Chat GPT (Open AI), have revolutionized natural language processing. These sophisticated neural networks, trained on vast amounts of web-based data, are adept at predicting subsequent words in a sequence [8].

Assessing the Impact of a Telemedicine Program on Caregivers of Children With Complex Chronic Conditions: Pre-Post Intervention Study

Assessing the Impact of a Telemedicine Program on Caregivers of Children With Complex Chronic Conditions: Pre-Post Intervention Study

As reported, approximately 30% of these children have cancer; the remaining 70% comprise a combination of conditions, mainly neurodegenerative, metabolic, and genetic. Of these, 50% children will require the specialized care of a pediatric palliative care unit [10,11]. Therefore, a new strategy is required to transform the current care model, which is focused on treatment—where the patient is a passive subject—into a proactive model more centered on the needs of patients and their caregivers.

Digital Biomarkers for Parkinson Disease: Bibliometric Analysis and a Scoping Review of Deep Learning for Freezing of Gait

Digital Biomarkers for Parkinson Disease: Bibliometric Analysis and a Scoping Review of Deep Learning for Freezing of Gait

With the advancement of mobile digital technologies, digital devices are now able to more accurately track changes in patient symptoms, especially those subtle changes that are difficult to detect in traditional clinical assessments. Freezing of gait (FOG) is a manifestation of motor dysfunction in PD that affects approximately 80% of patients in the middle to advanced stages. It is highly disabling as it reduces mobility and frequently leads to falls and fall-related injuries [16].

Mobile- and Web-Based Interventions for Promoting Healthy Diets, Preventing Obesity, and Improving Health Behaviors in Children and Adolescents: Systematic Review of Randomized Controlled Trials

Mobile- and Web-Based Interventions for Promoting Healthy Diets, Preventing Obesity, and Improving Health Behaviors in Children and Adolescents: Systematic Review of Randomized Controlled Trials

The World Health Organization recognizes overweight and obesity as a global epidemic affecting both low- and middle-income countries and higher-income countries [1,2]. They pose a substantial threat and challenge to public health, as they are also linked to the efficiency of the health care system [1,3]. In particular, obesity and overweight are associated with health effects and diseases in childhood and adolescence.

Converging Representations of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder and Autism on Social Media: Linguistic and Topic Analysis of Trends in Reddit Data

Converging Representations of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder and Autism on Social Media: Linguistic and Topic Analysis of Trends in Reddit Data

Demographically, Reddit users in the United States tend to skew male, younger (18–29 years old), with higher income levels and education (typically college-educated. Most reside in urban or suburban areas and exhibit a slight left-leaning political orientation. Racially, Reddit users are more likely to identify as Asian, followed by Hispanic and White, with Black users being the smallest demographic group [37]. Our dataset was incrementally collected from Pushshift.io until the beginning of 2023.

Assessing the Accuracy and Reliability of Large Language Models in Psychiatry Using Standardized Multiple-Choice Questions: Cross-Sectional Study

Assessing the Accuracy and Reliability of Large Language Models in Psychiatry Using Standardized Multiple-Choice Questions: Cross-Sectional Study

To evaluate the medical parametric knowledge encoded in LLMs, researchers in various subfields of medicine have assessed the accuracy of LLM answers to standardized multiple-choice questions (MCQs) from examinations commonly used for medical licensing or education [18-20]. Generally, investigations of LLM performance on a range of examinations, such as the United States Medical Licensing Exam, have reported accuracy rates surpassing those of qualified human test takers [18-20].
