Testing the Effectiveness of a Gamified Emotional Cognitive Bias Modification Task as an Intervention for Low Mood: Randomized Controlled Trial

The results provided evidence that GCBM improved immediate mood more than the control and CBM groups. Results showed that the difference between pre- and posttraining balance points was greater in both CBM and GCBM groups compared with control.

The Impact of a Novel Mimicry Task for Increasing Emotion Recognition in Adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Alexithymia: Protocol for a Randomized Controlled Trial

Simulation theories refer to the perception of a facial expression triggering a simulation of that expression's corresponding emotion within the perceiver. This simulation is then used to understand the perceived facial expression meaning to facilitate emotion recognition and empathy [14,15]. Alexithymia can explain the failure of this simulation process.
