Massive Open Online Courses on Health and Medicine: Review
But as Liyanagunawardena, Williams, and Adams [23] show, at present MOOCs may not reach a large proportion of people, especially in developing areas of the world. Current data suggest that a typical course registrant “is a male with a bachelor’s degree who is 26 or older” [24], showing that MOOCs have not yet reached universal accessibility.
