A Study of the Demographics of Web-Based Health-Related Social Media Users

Wiley et al [10] analyzed the content of Web-based social media related to pharmaceutical drugs across several dimensions, including frequently mentioned diseases, keywords, and sentiment. While the aforementioned work examined health-related social media and content, none of them studied the demographics of the participating users, which is studied in this work.
