The questionnaire had already been developed; it originally formed part of two yet-unpublished studies on citizen help-seeking behavior by Huibers et al (unpublished data, 2017) and Keizer et al (unpublished data, 2017). The aim of this study was to investigate the help-seeking behavior among citizens in need of acute health care during out-of-office hours and the factors related to frequent requests of out-of-hours health care.
