As described in the Instructions for Authors (Fee Schedule), JMIR requires the payment of a nominal submission fee (JMIR Submission Fee - JSF) for all submitted articles, excluding 1) invited articles, 2) letters to the editor, and 3) protocols (Note that the submission and review of research protocols has a different fee structure and the Protocol Review Fee should be paid.)
This fee cannot be waived and must be paid even by authors from institutional members.
Pay the JMIR Submission Fee (JSF) (US $ 90) by clicking on either the Paypal or Psigate buttons in Step 5 of the Submission process. Please note that after you have made the payment, you MUST still press the "Finish Submission" button in order to complete your submission.
To fast-track a paper, please also pay the Fast-Track Fee in addition to the JSF (optional).
