- CV(s) of the editor(s)-in-chief, with full publication list, and an indication of how much time can be devoted to editing
- Proposed title of the new journal
- Scope of the journal (we prefer broad topics, as opposed to very smal niche journals)
- A list of competing journals and - if known - their impact factors, as well as information on which ones are open access. How would your journal be different?
- A description of the society which supports the journal (if applicable), and to what degree the society can help to encourage the submission of high-quality papers to the new journal
- A list of potential editorial board members (at least 20). At least 3 editors, whose CVs should be attached, should be senior researchers with more than 5 peer-reviewed publications and should be the holder of several grants
- A list of 20 article titles to be solicited from editorial board members.
- A suggestion on the initial Article Processing Fee, and whether the society will carry part of the APF, or whether the APF will be entirely paid by submitting authors
Note that we will not consider any proposals which have a similar scope as JMIR (i.e. ehealth, health informatics).
